Inspiration behind the painting: nearly every day I drive past the Dirty Spur Cattle Company pasture in Highland, Utah, and see the beautiful longhorns out grazing. My favorite times are when they are near the fence and look at me with the same curiosity that I look at them with. On this particular day I caught the gaze of one who wore the name tag Jack Frost. We looked at each other for a long moment...then went back about our business. I love those moments of connection.
