Each of these measures 5" wide by 7" tall, and extends out about 4". The animals include a bear, a cougar, and a wolf. They appear to be handmade of plaster poured into molds, then hand painted and faux fur applied. They were originally on a piece of cut plywood with "65" stamped on the back, most likely a year stamp for around the time these were made. Also attached was an old label with the name Herbert Schoepf printed on it, most likely the "artist" who created these very unique pieces, possibly for a boy scout project. The name label is now attached to the back of one of the wood mounts as a signature of sorts. A google search of the name does pull up a man who was born in Germany in 1909 and died in Salt Lake City 1990. Ironically the same week I found these and repaired/remounted them was the anniversary of Mr. Schoepf's death. These would look great as a decoration for a boy who is not frightened by them lol.
