click to view galleryThe imagery in Sean Finocchio’s fabulous silkscreened panel, Meat Co., comes from an original photograph taken in Los Angeles. “I commute every day for work,” says Finocchio, “I take my camera with me and capture images along the way. This image is of a butcher I pass often. I like a good butcher.”
The photograph is transformed into a graphic, stylized work of art that retains the rustic charm of the butcher’s sign. After being printed on sturdy plywood with a reinforced rear hanging panel, each print is sealed with a UV matte finish, and ships ready-to-hang with a keyhole screw slot.
Sean Finocchio grew up in the South. He studied graphic design at Georgia State University in Atlanta before abandoning the design program for a career in video editing in Los Angeles. After about 15 years of working in the television industry, he wanted to express himself in a different medium. So he started using the tools that he had been using for work as a new creative outlet for his photography. He is constantly inspired by living in Los Angeles, and by all of its culture. When he’s not working, he enjoys good pizza with his wife Celeste and their chihuahua Buddie.
